C.A.F.E. (Community Arts Funding Event)

 Planet Altered provides an opportunity through C.A.F.E. (Community Arts Funding Event) for local artists to receive grass roots local funding through small grants that can be put directly back into the community through projects done in the area. C.A.F.E. is local community investing in arts and artists, providing a direct impact to the local economy.

This monthly Sunday C.A.F.E. grant event is a grass roots gathering of community members where everyone pays to attend a light dinner, listen to a description of the artist’s project, and then vote for their favorite. The winner of the grant will receive ten dollars of each ticket sold for that evening’s gathering with a maximum dollar amount up to $360.00, based on available seating. Of course, patrons may choose to provide additional personal donations.

The 2011 –2012 C. A.F.E. Schedule is second Sunday’s October through February as follows: October 9, November 13, December 11, January 8, and February 12.   Tickets are available at Planet Altered, 48 East Main Street.
