Contemporary Treasures by Mixed Media Inspired Artists

Contemporary Treasures hosted by Ringgold Art And Frame Gallery will host an Opening Reception on Thursday, September 3rd. From 5pm to 8pm. Refreshments will be served.

Mixed Media Inspired Artists is a group of 14 artists from Chattanooga and the surrounding area who work in a contemporary style using acrylic as the primary medium, often incorporating mixed media and collage elements into their work. Led by Sandra Paynter Washburn in her exploratory acrylic classes at Art Creations, the group has learned about numerous genres, theories and styles of art. They have worked and played together and participated in juried shows with Tennessee Watercolor Society, Festival at Creative Arts Guild, Reflections Gallery, In-Town Gallery and North Georgia Sky Painters. The goal of each artist is to develop a signature style that is different from everyone else in the group, and to develop strong individual portfolios that highlight their strengths as artists.
