Friends who C.A.R.E. to raise awareness of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain
NASHVILLE, TN (April 8, 2013) – Friends who C.A.R.E. is a special event designed to raise awareness of Fibromyalgia (Fibro) and Chronic Pain. It is free for the entire family and will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, at the Green Room Coffee House in Donelson, Tn. The event’s highlight is a pair of special, acoustic performances by acclaimed artist Jonell Mosser.
Activities at Friends who C.A.R.E. are expected to include announcements of special recognition days around the state, door prizes, a silent auction, fun games for the children and more. Information about Fibro, Chronic Pain, support groups in the area, and more will be available for free. Group members will be present and awareness items will be available as well. Food and drink will be available for purchase from the Green Room. Nashville artist Jonell Mosser will donate her time in the form of a pair of special, acoustic performances.
"There are approximately 125,000 Tennesseans with Fibromyalgia and well over a million others who live with some form of Chronic Pain," says Fibro Friends founder Donna Marsh. "Those who live with pain often feel isolated, and we want to reach out and let them know they aren’t alone and there are people who both understand and may be able to lend a hand of friendship and support."
Friends who C.A.R.E. (Contribute, Advocate, Research, Educate) is sponsored by Fibro Friends and the National Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain Association to raise awareness of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain. It is expected to become an annual event. More information, including an event poster, may be found at www.FibroFriends.co.
