Ronald McDonald House Charities is a nonprofit organization providing a “home away from home” for families of seriously ill or injured children and support programs that improve the health, education and well-being of children. Friday, June 6, 7 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. All area McDonald’s Restaurants in the Tennessee Valley area. To raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC) of Greater Chattanooga. Day of Change is to encourage people to donate their extra change to help families with critically ill or injured children.
Last year alone, this one day effort to collect spare change raised more than $20,500 locally. These funds help support programs at RMHC of Greater Chattanooga that improve the health and well-being of children. Dozens of local celebrity volunteers will be on hand at various locations urging customers to donate their dime, quarter, nickel or penny like UTC Coaches Will Wade, Russ Huesman, and Bill Gautier along with various city and county elected officials and candidates. Catoosa County Sheriff Gary Sisk will be at the Ringgold, GA McDonald’s. There will also be princesses Rapunzel and Cinderella at the Cleveland North Lee Hwy. McDonald’s. Miss Tennessee 2009, Stefanie Whittler, will be at the Soddy Daisy McDonald’s. The following Fire Department’s will be present: Chattanooga, Cleveland, East Ridge, Fort Oglethorpe, Signal Mountain, Spring City, and Whitfield County. The Chattanooga Times Free Press, Regions Bank, and CAT Country 95.3 FM, have partnered with area McDonald's to participate.To learn more, visit www.rmhchattanooga.com.
