Soul Mechanic
to
Soul Mechanic formed in early 2011 with founding members Tyler Reddick and Clark Jackson, aiming to put together a funky jam band that can set out and conquer the festival circuit. While they're a funk band with an innovative soul sound, you'll hear elements of laid back model jazz, classic rock, reggae, and they don't hesitate to jam when they see an opportunity.
Guitarist Clark Jackson trained for years at the Atlanta Institute of Music with the legendary Jimmy Herring, and it shows. Tyler Reddick is absolutely one of the best bass players you'll ever see. He'll lay down just about every style imaginable throughout their live show. You know the "that's just nasty" face? You'll make that face a lot at their shows.
In early 2012 the band added member Ben Cooper on keys, really freeing them up on stage to improvise, along with adding major appeal to their studio sound.
