Sunday Showcase will highlight and celebrate school-age talent and the organizations that foster and support that talent. The production will feature performances by Chattanooga’s outstanding young artists in the four disciplines of dance, instrumental music, vocal performance and theatre. Funds raised by the event will support the Performing Arts League’s outreach and arts education for area school children.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students, and free for children 5 and younger. A $1 processing fee per ticket will be added by the UTC Box Office. Tickets may be purchased at the Box Office or by phone (425-4269) prior to the performance.
Participating organizations include: Ballet Tennessee; Barger Academy of Fine Arts Movement Makers; Center for Creative Arts Choo Choo Kids; Chattanooga Boys Choir; Chattanooga Girls Choir; Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy Choir; Chattanooga Symphony & Opera Youth Orchestras; Chattanooga Theatre Centre Youth Theatre; Civic Ballet of Chattanooga; and Jazzanooga Youth Music Academy.
The Performing Arts League, Inc., a not-for-profit, of the Greater Chattanooga Area, believes the viability of the performing arts in a community begins with its youth being encouraged, developed and applauded. Performing Arts League’s support includes theater, dance, vocal, and instrumental music.
