The Curious Savage by John Patrick
Cleveland Middle School 3635 Georgetown Rd NW, Cleveland, Tennessee 37312
Where does madness end and reality begin? It is a blurry line in StageWorks of Cleveland's revival production of The Curious Savage. The Curious Savage, written by John Patrick, follows the uproarious struggle between Ethel P. Savage and her greedy stepchildren, who are determined to obtain the vast fortune left to her by her husband. They send Mrs. Savage to a sanatorium, where the kindness and loyalty of the patients contrasts with the selfish ruthlessness of her stepchildren. Shows open on June 6th at 7:00 p.m. and will be held at Cleveland Middle School. There will also be shows on June 7th at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and the final performance will be June 8th at 2:00 p.m. Ticket prices will be $8 for students and seniors, $10 for adults and $5 for groups of 10 or more. If you are interested in bringing a group please contact us in advance at stageworkscleveland@gmail.com. Tickets can be purchased through our website www.stageworkscleveland.weebly.com and also available at the door. This is a talented cast of recently graduated and current high school students who are very excited to be doing this revival and sharing it with the community again. If you want an evening of joy, laughter and a few feel good tears, then come out and see The Curious Savage. Oh, and, “bring an umbrella, it might rain”.
