Chattanooga Brewing Company continues to expand and innovate
When I want to relax with good friends, great food and excellent beer, the only place to fit the bill for me is Chattanooga Brewing Company. The relaxed atmosphere and casual seating allow gatherings of any size to enjoy the delicious craft brew.
One of my favorite items on the menu is the “Freddy Brewger.” The “Freddy Brewger” is always a pleasant surprise, as the kitchen staff creates a new sandwich each week that includes one of the select craft beers as an ingredient, served on local Bluff View Bakery bread. The sheer excitement of knowing this week’s burger is made with one of their specialty dark beers and bacon, creating a candied bacon jam to top the burger was enough to make me shed a tear of joy.
I also learned their Oktoberfest beer was available on tap, which inspired a happy dance in my chair. I tried to contain myself so as to not embarrass anyone, but any foodie would understand this was hard to do. It’s never an easy decision at CBC, with an amazing selection of appetizers, salads and sandwiches to choose from.
The Chattanooga Brewing Company serves a nice selection of the beer they make. I find pleasure in pairing just the right beer with my meal. I know if I come here in a fickle mood and cannot decide what I want to drink, there are always the “Flight Selections,” which are five 4-oz. samples of my choosing. Once I decide on a pairing for my meal, I am never disappointed.
I find comfort knowing this is a local brewery that uses only natural ingredients in their delicious beers. (And never fear if you are a wine drinker—feel free to bring in your own bottle of your favorite wine to enjoy for a small corkage fee.)
Chattanooga Brewing Company offers more than great craft beer and delicious food. There is fun to be had each night of the week. Come prepared to channel your inner artist for the “Uptown Art Paint Night” on Monday nights. Tuesday is the night for “BrewGa,” when you can enjoy a yoga session followed by a beer for only $10. Wednesday is trivia night, followed by $3 beers all day Thursday, with acoustic live music on Thursday night.
Come out during the weekend for tours of their operation. While you’re there, regardless of the day of the week, take some time to learn about the interesting history of beer in Chattanooga in general and the Chattanooga Brewing Company in particular.
Short on time? Don’t hesitate to run in and purchase a growler of your favorite selection of craft brew to enjoy at home, especially at this time of year when their Oktoberfest beer is available.
CBC is conveniently located opposite Finley Stadium on Chestnut Street. As the Southside of Chattanooga continues to grow, make sure you keep Chattanooga Brewing Company on your radar. Once you visit, you won’t be able to keep them off your mind.
