Blowing Screams Farm is back and so are its (real?) creatures
Are you ready to drop into your worst nightmare? Then Rock City’s Halloween special is waiting for you. Slide down into the depths of their haunted tunnels to visit the VOID at Blowing Screams Farm.
The Farm is a haunt with a backstory. Ten years ago, a scientist named Virgil O’Maro found a portal into another dimension and made his way to the other side. Now he needs your help to fend off the Nihilum, otherworldly creatures who can only be repelled by infrared light, and to create an exit portal to escape the other realm and bring his research back to our world.
To get to him, you’ll have to plummet down a slide into the dark, claustrophobic tunnels that house the terrible Nihilum and their horrifying world. Whether it be amid a jungle of bamboo or while you shy away from the fungus-riddled walls, behind every corner could be a monster waiting to drag you into the depths and doom you and O’Maro forever.
If you’re feeling squeamish, things in our dimension are a little safer. Face painting, snacks, a bonfire, and “Scarecrow Alley” are available outside, along with a kids’ maze made out of fresh pumpkins that you can choose from to take home at the end of the night. The Coca-Cola playground is free for kids to enjoy in case they want to stay out of the tunnels.
Blowing Screams Farm opens at dark and accepts visitors until midnight, when the last groups are allowed through. General admission tickets are $16, and a joint ticket for both the daytime and nighttime mazes is $22.
The Farm is located at 271 Chattanooga Valley Rd. just north of Flintstone, GA. Inclement weather may affect availability. Call (706) 820-3220 or visit their Facebook page for more information.
