The Acropolis: Rediscover a Classic Favorite
The Acropolis has been around for 20 years, but they are far from lagging behind. Just last year, they remodeled their bar and patio to include more seating and welcome a number of new menu options. The bar is well stocked with a variety of drinks tailored to fit in with the high-quality Mediterranean menu.
They’ve added ten draft beers to the menu, eight of which come from breweries in the Chattanooga and Atlanta areas, and they’re excited to show off not only beer choices, but the variety of cocktails available as well.
The new bar continues a tradition started by the restaurant itself—a commitment to local loyalties and to the uniqueness that comes from being a small business with the ability to understand the local crowd. The Acropolis is one-of-a-kind, and they take pride in providing the best possible experience.
“We’ve taken what’s already Mediterranean Greek and applied it to a bar,” says owner Nick Kyriakidis. “The bar complements the food and the atmosphere.” And it certainly does. The bar itself fits seamlessly into the restaurant and completes the relaxed, authentic feel of the space. There’s plenty of crossover between the two areas; delicious Greek appetizers are served right alongside the drink options.
They’re well set for a great run, and there are already a number of specials to take advantage of. In addition to their Happy Hour (3 p.m. – 7 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends), the menu features a number of weekly specials. On “Martini Mondays” you can get special martinis for $5, and “Wine Down Wednesdays” have $10 sangria pitchers and $12 bottles of wine.
With options like these, even the regulars may be surprised to find that the bar is their new favorite part of a restaurant they already love.
